Living Simply

Your host Reinhard Rauter was born in 1975 at Dietrichhof. As a farmer, he is particularly bound to the land and to the animals. The Hostess Szilvia was born in 1976 in Hungary. She takes good care of the guests, she is prana-therapy specialist and Qi Gong trainer and she can give various types of massage. Their kids Alex and Aron were born in 2006 and in 2013. The kids are very familiar with farming seasons and they love to stay outdoors. Reinhard and Zsilvia bought Dietrichhof from Reinard’s parents in 2010.

According to Nature

Dietrichhof is located on top of a sunny hill, 10 minutes away from Velturno/Feldthurns. We live according to Nature’s rules and we are committed to tradition and simplicity.

In 2011 we rebuilt our house, and between 2017 and 2019 we have set up within the ancient hayloft the four apartment pavilions for our guests.

In our barn we have milk cows and young cattle. Chickens and cats browse freely around. The farmstead and the garden with aromatic herbs demand a great care, but they provide a lot of serenity and peace. We look forward to your interest and collaboration to the farm’s activities.

The journey towards oneself and the others

A third of the population in Velturno/Feldthurns lives from agriculture: at the bottom of the valley vineyards and orchards are cultivated, whereas higher up, farming is to be found.
You can lay back and relax while you are walking, hiking, sun-bathing, eating or simply enjoying the local culture.

In the centre of Velturno/Feldthurns – which towers the towns of Chiusa/Klausen and Bressanone/Brixen – you can find the Castle. Velturno/Feldthurns Castle used to be the summer residency of the prince bishops of Bressanone/Brixen. You can freely take part in the local various cultural activities. By using our free Wi-Fi you can connect and find out more about the calendar of local events during your staying.
We are more than happy to arrange for you or with you hiking tours or simply walks.
